Abstract:

This paper investigates the current development situation of metadata schemas of

digital textbooks， analyzes the characteristics and description requirements of digital textbooks

for primary and secondary schools， and then proposes a metadata hierarchical model and

corresponding elements for digital textbooks for primary and secondary schools， hoping to

provide reference for the development of national standard for metadata of digital textbooks

for primary and secondary schools， and to some extent help to promote the standardized

management， effective application and industry development of digital textbooks.
