Abstract:

This study aims to investigate the process and value of Literature Publishing House

（PLP）’ s translation-circulation network of Harry Potter series, and analyzes how the networking

contributes to the phenomenal success of the series in China. It argues that as an initiator of the

translation project, PLP has involved in translation-circulation networking altogether with various

actors（e.g., the author, literary agent, translator, publisher, reader）, thereby enabling wide

reception of the series in China and giving insights into literary translation and circulation.
