Abstract:

The target progress of digital publishing of Chinese Ancient Books（CABs） has

gone through four stages ： regenerative protection of CABs， information inquiry and utilization，

knowledge service， mass culture dissemination. There has been a shift in publishing subjects

from institutional dominance to the co-existence of multiple subjects， publishing technology

from a single type to the superposition and integration of multiple technologies， publishing

content from the publication of ancient books and documents to knowledge services and cultural

experience， users from niche to focus and mass groups， and the network environment from

Web2.0 to Web3.0. In the new era of China， the digital publishing of CABs should adhere to

attach importance to data construction of CABs， talent education and CABs’content activation

and utilization to continue empowering the national strategy of Chinese cultural power.
