Research on the Use of Open Access Academic Resources by College Students in
China

Abstract:

A large-scale questionnaire survey is used to analyze the current situation of the
use of OA academic resources of college students in China， so as to clarify the awareness
and use of OA academic resources of college students in China， to analyze whether there
are differences in the use behavior of OA academic resources between liberal arts and
science students， whether there is correlation between use cost and use behavior， as well as
community environment and use behavior. By analyzing 9087 valid questionnaires， it is found
that the awareness rate and utilization rate of OA academic resources of college students in
China are low， which are 21.03% and 13.36% respectively. There are differences in the use
of OA academic resources among liberal arts and science students; and there is a correlation
between economic cost and community environment and use behavior. Finally， the paper puts
forward specific measures to improve the awareness and utilization of OA resources of college
students in China from different levels.
