Abstract: This paper reviews the origin， history， operation mode and achievements of the“lecture book”publishing mode of Harvard University Press and Yale University Press. Theresearch shows that the publishing mode of “lecture book” is closely connected with the highlevel academic community of different disciplines between the university press and the parentuniversity， forming a complete chain of knowledge production and academic communication in theprocess of the establishment， operation and manuscript of the lecture content， which provides akey boost to the academic publishing brand construction of the university press and the academicdevelopment of the parent university
