Abstract:

There are many records in ancient Chinese agricultural books on how to use wild
plants to alleviate famine. In the history of our country, there was a peak in the compilation
of specialized books on edible wild plants with the theme of “famine relief” in the Ming
Dynasty, among which the influence of Herbal for Famine Relief by King Zhu Su was the most
profound. This article explores the social role of the author as a knowledge generator from the
perspective of knowledge sociology, as well as the relationship between knowledge generation
and social reality, the interaction between knowledge utilization and social practice, knowledge
presentation and technological innovation.
