Abstract: This study employs the network survey method and text analysis method, focuses on six open access copyright agreements of large publishing groups, professional academic/ association publishers and full open access publishers as the research object, and starts from the module and content details of the agreements to condense the characteristics of the content formulation of the agreements. This study suggests that the international open access copyright agreements released by foreign academic agencies involve seven modules, namely, Creative Commons logo, publisher's rights, author’ s rights, research data, article processing charge, author’ s declaration and basic agreement, and the features include both standardized and compatible, balanced copyright interests of multiple subjects, attention to differentiated academic communication methods based on the version chain, and incorporation of hotspots and cutting-edge trends in academic publishing. As a result, it proposes the following implications for the development of China’ s open access copyright agreements : improving the text of the open access copyright agreements and standardizing the body of the copyright agreements, paying attention to the conflict of interests among multiple subjects and clarifying the copyright usage rights of authors at different stages, and standardizing the collection process of articles processing charge and to promote the international process of open access publishing in China.
