Abstract: This study proposes the“ Octagonal Star Training Model” for publishing talents, underpinned by three core pillars: literacy, knowledge, and competencies. Good literacy supported by professional qualities, political commitment, and professional ethics constitutes the soul of publishing talents. Essential knowledge surrounding publishing content, operations and management and technology provides nourishment for these talents. Comprehensive competencies for pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty enhance the overall quality of publishing talents. The “Octagonal Star Training Model”, with its interconnected and mutually supportive elements, must be implemented in a practice-oriented manner to effectively contribute to the cultivation of publishing talents.
