Abstract:

Korean digital publishing laws have characteristics such as: supporting the development of digital content industry; a combination of legal and administrative means; government-run associations playing important roles in enhancing the content protection. Besides, Korean digital press laws present some obvious tendencies, for instance, strengthening protection for copyright owners; taking the public interests into an account; adequately safeguarding ISPs’interests; strengthening the power of government departments and clearing e-book pricing system.
