The Construction and Reflection of a Digital Reading Platform for Children in the
United States from the Perspective of Home-school Cooperation :Taking Three
Typical U.S. Digital Reading Platforms for Children as Examples

Abstract:

The paper selecting three typical children’s digital reading platforms : International
children’s digital library(ICDL), Renaissance myON reader and ReadingIQ, based on the depth
profile analysis, the author found that the American children’s digital reading platform actively
creates an open co education platform with the participation of multiple subjects; emphasize the
tripartite linkage between home, society and school to promote the social benefits of children’s
digital reading. Improving children’s digital reading and evaluation function, cultivating children’s
deep reading ability, this revealed to us that our Children’s digital reading can try to build a
children’s digital reading platform architecture with home and school as the core, providing a
public welfare children’s digital reading service dominated by schools and supplemented by
families and communities, developing a graded reading system suitable for home school reading
scenes, promoting the healthy and sustainable development of China’s local children’s digital
reading industry.
