An Analysis of the Problems and Strategies of Chinese Academic Publishing
“Going Out” from Stakeholder Perspective

Abstract:

Based on the perspective of stakeholders, this paper divides the stakeholders
involved in the process of “going out” of academic publishing into definite stakeholders, expected
stakeholders and potential stakeholders, and finds that the current “going out” of academic
publishing has shortcomings in publicity, content, publication, technology, service and talents.
Then it proposes to pay attention to the domestic and international market demand and enhance
the motivation of “going out” based on original production; promotes the cooperation among
publishing institutions and technology-enabled optimization of services to enhance cooperation;
promotes the sharing of resources and innovates the training of talents to accelerate the process
of “going out”. To enhance the international influence of Chinese culture and make the world
understand China.
