The Australian Online Storytime pilot is a good example of how children’s books
can be distributed in the context of a sudden major public health event. With the methods of
cases study and network survey, this article makes an in-depth analysis of this pilot from the

and tasks. It is found that the successful operation of the pilot cannot leave the leadership of
industry organizations, the collaboration of public libraries, publishers, creators and other roles,
and the support of copyright protection measures. Combining the experience of the pilot and the
actual situation of the book industry in China, this article provides inspiration for children’s book
discovery in China form four aspects of copyright protection in the network environment, customer
service oriented long-term brand marketing, close cooperation between publishers and public
libraries, and support from industry organizations and programs.
