Theoretical Innovation and Strategic Choice of China’s Press and Publication

Abstract:

In the new era, China’s press and publication industry is developing steadily and
with high quality, especially in the industrial scale, public service, technology update and going
out, which lays a solid foundation for the sustainable innovation and development of press and
publication theory and practice. The basic theoretical system of the party’s press and publication
in the new era include the people-centered work orientation, the unity of the party spirit and the
people’s spirit, the“48”principle of the press and publication function, the unity of the two
benefits with social benefits as the first priority, the“shi,du,xiao”of the press and publication
communication methods, the all media integration and development of the press and publication,
and the“story telling”international communication. Under the guidance of this theoretical
system, the strategic choices for the development of China’s press and publication industry are :
taking social benefits as the first place and unifying the two benefits, the priority strategy of theme
publishing and public service, the development strategy of high-quality production and high
quality, the unbalanced development strategy, the coordinated development strategy of industrial
ecological chain, the all media development strategy, the development strategy of compound
talents, the super copyright development strategy, and “going out, going in” development strategy.
