Abstract: Challenges and Opportunities : The Commercial Press in the New Cultural Movement, a new book by Liu Hecheng, studied the impact of the New Cultural Movement on the commercial press and the response of the commercial press. This is the first book about this topic, and deepens the research of the history of the commercial press. This article also discusses the relationship between the Hu Shi and the Commercial Press, Hu Shi and Zhang Yuanji’s familiar process, Hu Shi’s contribution to the Commercial Press, etc., and corrects some errors in the book.
