Abstract:

The image is as important as the text for picture books. They carry out different duty and
complement each other as well. According to the interactive cooperation between the image and the text,
this paper divides the relationship between the image and the text into five types. Then the paper discusses
the diverse and complex relationship between them in order to provide extended direction of the study of
relationship between the image and the text.
