Abstract:

 The Compendium of Works of the Past and the Present is a book on almost everything of the
world, which has been widely acclaimed for its scientific and reasonable arrangement. The compilers of The
Compendium of Works of the Past and the Present created the classification method of compilation, species
and division etc., which can easily recall information for its clear levels and strict logic. The collection and
classification, literature and art, chronic%, potpourri, additional collection, were based on the nature of the
materials at hand. Those generally similar content can be assigned to different classes, which reflects editors'
multi-angle, multi一level understanding of the materials. The Compendium of Works of the Past and the
