A Study of English Advertisements of the Commercial Press Published on The China Critic

Abstract:

As the main important publishing house during modern Chinese history, in order to promote
books spreading and marketing, the Commercial Press has advertised all kinds of its publications on different
periodicals and books. There are many English books advertisements published on The China Critic from 1928
to 1938, the forms of these advertisements has represented the marketing tactics of the Commercial Press.
