Abstract:

[Abstract] New media editing is an important force in Chinas publishing industry. It is also a new sprout
of the old profession of editing. The improvement of editing ability and quality of new media has a direct
impact on the transformation and upgrading of the publishing industry. On the basis of literature research,
this paper synthesizes the basic methods and processes of establishing competency model at home and
abroad, and constructs the competency model of new media editors in China through questionnaire survey
and data analysis, which provides a specific theoretical basis and practical tool framework for human resource
management in publishing industry.
