The Depress and Strategy of Japan’s Publishing Industry under Digital Technology Shock

Abstract:

By the investigation of Japan’s publishing industry, this paper discusses the depress of Japan’s
publishing industry and its reasons. And explores main strategies for Japan’s publishing industry struggling
with digital technology, included developing the cartoon and enhancing its core competitiveness, developing
digital publishing and building new growth power, developing oversea market and strengthen international
competitiveness. Finally, combined with the mode of Japan’s publishing and operation strategies, several
suggestions are provided for the development of China’s publishing industry
