Abstract:
France is one of the first countries in the world to carry out cultural diplomacy for the purpose of maintaining the French soft power by promoting its culture. As the most important French cultural industry, the publishing industry is also the highest internationalized and constitute an important field of implementation of French cultural diplomacy. The French government takes a variety of measures to support the French foreign publication, including the author, translator training, copyright transaction, publishing subsidy, export subsidies. French foreign publication policy promote effectively the international development of the French publishing industry and the dissemination of French thought and culture in the world, enhance the French cultural power and international influence, and means a lot to the Chinese publishing industry’s“going out” strategy.
