Abstract:
This article collected the high-cited CSSCI research papers on digital publication and profit patterns published during 2004—2013 to analyze the content by encoding. Some misconceptions emerged from the the analysis, such as excessive amplification of the success of digital publication, considering eBooks as the extension of printed-book publication, asserting massive information is the major attribute of “content is the king”, attaching ultra importance to successful patterns and ignoring their reproducibility. So we should distinguish digital resource’s publication from publication’s digitalization, change production-oriented thinking mode and think over the causal relationship between building senses and human-media interaction.
