Abstract:

Based on quantitative statistics， this study aims to describe the going-out status of current Chinese social sciences academic journals.The conclusions are as following：(1)most journals can be found in foreign countries，but their influence are relevantly small;(2)journals of history，linguistics，art，literature，archaeology， economics are more popular in foreign countries;(3)international academic publishing industry requires Chinese journals being more professional;(4)publishing in English is very helpful for Chinese journals’going abroad， but the publishing of Chinese English social sciences academic journals far lags behind international standard;(5)sino-foreign cooperation increases the international competitiveness of Chinese English social sciences academic journals.
