摘要：

世界上第一部李白诗歌英译文集由日本学者小畑薰良翻译，于 1922 年在美国出版。该
诗集收录李白诗歌 124 首，并介绍了李白的生平和诗歌成就。100 年来，该诗集在美国、英国、
日本等国家印行 20 余次，创造了中国古典诗歌作品在西方世界的出版传奇。该诗集的出版概况、
出版特征、封面设计、馆藏情况都呈现出独特特征，对当下中国典籍外译仍有启迪意义。

Abstract:

The Works of Li Po ： the Chinese Poet is the first poetry anthology of Li Bai in
English， translated by a Japanese scholar Shigeyoshi Obata and published in 1922. This
anthology is composed of 124 poems of Li Bai and an introduction of Li Bai’s life and his poetry
achievements. For the past 100 years， this anthology has been published for more than
twenty times in the United States of America， Britain， Japan and other countries， gaining
an unbelievable success in the history of publication of Chinese classics in the West. This
anthology can provide inspirations for publication of Chinese classics in the West.
