Abstract:

As an important part of the publishing discipline with Chinese characteristics， the

publishing specialty in the western region not only affects the consolidation of the mainstream

ideology， but also relates to the process of building a cultural power. From the background of new

liberal arts， we analyze the current situation of publishing majors in the western region and find

that they are facing the real dilemma of convergence of training programs and low training level，

disorder of curriculum system and dilution of disciplinary attributes， single faculty structure and

insufficient talent reserve， weak professional influence and poor employment channel. Therefore，

this paper puts forward the development path of publishing specialty in the western region from

the perspective of building a model of the western region， highlighting the characteristics of the

western region， strengthening talent exchange， and promoting internal cooperation.
