Abstract:
TherearetwocluesinpublishingofmodernChina，oneisuniversitypublishing，theotheroneis privatepublishing.Influencedbythecouplingeffectsoftheecologyofhighereducationandpublishing,asthe sameasotheruniversities，WuhanUniversitytook “functionalsystem”inthepracticeofpublishing，inother words，ittreatedpublishingasanadministrativeorganization.Intheaspectoffunctionofcommunication， thepublishingactivitiesofWuhanUniversityaimedtopromotethelocalizationofdisciplinesandexpendthe spaceofmodernacademicculturebypublishinglecturenotes，teachingmaterialsandacademicpublications. Publishingisthe “ThirdForce”ofuniversities，itspracticeofinstitutionalstructureshouldservethefunction ofcommunicationbetter，inordertoreducethedisseminationcostofacademicknowledgeandimproveits disseminationeffect.
