Abstract:

Based on a survey of 50 journals, the paper reflects the current status of China’s English scientific
journals comprehensively and expresses the aspirations of journal editors from the perspectives of journal
basic information, journal content, publishing platform, open access model and developing strategy of journal
globalization. The survey also makes a comparative analysis between SCI journals and non-SCI journals on
their running conditions. Focused on current obstacles revealed by the survey results, some proposals are
suggested related to the global development of China’s English scientific journals.
