Abstract: Technology, content, application and platform of Chinese internet video have developed rapidly in the past years. Internet video has gone through the following stages: television stations started set up websites （1994—2005）, commercial video websites appeared and users interacted online（2005—2009）, professional and commercial production increased （2009—2014）, mobile video developed（2014—2016）, and now it has entered a period of short video applications（2016—now）. Behind the evolution of video on the internet, the developing logic of technology, content and user have played an important role in shaping the current situation. Understanding how the three internal logics interact with each other is the key to thinking about the future development of Chinese internet video.
