Abstract: [Abstract] The article raises questions about the possibility and opportunity of Hybrid Open Access mechanism in traditional university presses, and about the lack of transparency that has characterized the planning process of university press. University press with a nature of non-profit must meet the challenge of Hybrid OA demand whatever in journal or book publishing. It seems to be a must for university press to convert to OA management, but future success and failure remain unpredictable.
