Abstract:

The core of the book design is the effective expression of meaningful information. Gibson’s theory
of direct perception, from the perspective of ecology, scientifically reveals the core characteristics of information
expression, that is, how the action possibilities contained in the object are given to us through direct, interactive
and dynamic way. This provides an important reference for us to deeply understand the nature of book design
and the corresponding methodology. In practice, we should pay attention to the directness, stereoscopic,
interactive and dynamic of book design.
