Abstract:

Taking different-culture-level Chinese Students as subject， from the perspectives of the
knowing， using and criticizing Chinese dictionaries， the present study discussed the using conditions by
Chinese students in the new period. The results show that:（ 1） the type of Chinese dictionaries used by
students is very sole;（ 2） the culture-level factor affects the dictionary using;（ 3） the students lack basic
dictionary knowledge and reference skills. Aiming at the issues above， some suggestions have been proposed.
