Abstract:
Over the past five years, ebooks have had an enormous impact on the publishing industry. Digital publishing has its own unique challenges, but ebooks also created opportunities for publishers that were never possible with print books. With digital production and distribution, ebooks are faster, cheaper, and more versatile than print, which makes them the perfect tools for experimentation. Book subscriptions, bundling, special sales, and multi-media are just some of the ways in which ebooks can open new roads of revenue for the publishing industry.
