Abstract:

The models of Open Access on academic journal publishing can be classified into four groups: direct OA,delayed OA,partial OA and hybrid OA. This study conducts a survey based upon these models for journals and editors in the field of humanity and social sciences in Taiwan. The surveys reveal that OA policy and its related perceptions are not yet the main concerns of scholars and editors. The benefits of implementing OA policy in Taiwan remains to be seen in the future.
