Abstract:

From 1920s to 1940s， Gu Jiegang edited more than 10 kinds of journals， he accumulated a lot of
journal editing thoughts. He advocated to found independent journal， promoted academic to save the nation，
always centered on the demands of readers and authors， and he tried to coordinate academic and popular of
the journal. Also， he was good at nurturing journal manuscript sources， and he spent particular emphasis on
incentives for young authors. Generally speaking， his journal editing thoughts produce positive significance on
today’ s journal editing work
