[Abstract] Nowadays，children’s sex education is getting more and more attention，and the value and

market potential of sex education picture books are also highlighted. Based on a comprehensive statistical

analysis of 134 kinds of children’s sex education picture books sold in the domestic book market，and

combining the common problems in the current picture books of children’s sex education，this paper makes

some suggestions on the development of children’s sex education picture books in China. And the principles

of scientific narration，love and respect，and artistic expression are put forward.
