Abstract: Based on Zhao Yiheng’s system of paratexts, in conjunction with intertextuality and Propp’s theory of narrative functions, this article examines the reconstruction mechanism of paratexts for original works. Paratexts establish a state of presence by write-read symbiosis through the referential expansion of the space for meaning, dynamic compensation of role functions, and open generation under the supplement mechanism. This narrative uses cross-media dissemination to break through the closed boundaries of text consumption in the context of participatory culture and intelligent co-creation, and promotes the life cycle extension and IP value co-creation of online literature under full-copyright operations.
