The Connotation, Historical Evolution and Basic Characteristics of Chinese-Style Publishing Modernization

摘要:

中国式出版现代化是出版行政系统、出版行业系统各层次主体、要素及其关系的现代化的辩证统一。与新中国成立以来中国共产党领导的中国式现代化进程同频共振、互塑互构,在起步准备时期(19491978)服从国家工业化和“四个现代化”,在改革探索时期(19791992)支撑物质文明和精神文明协调发展,在经济转轨时期(19932002)适应社会主义市场经济体制目标和要求,在改革深化时期(20032012)引领文化现代化整体推进,在内涵发展时期(2013—至今)呼应文化强国国家战略。呈现出宏观层面出版行政系统由传统管理型向现代治理型转变、中观层面出版行业系统由传统事业型向现代市场型转变、微观层面出版工作者由“单位人”向“社会人”转变的基本特征。

Abstract:

Chinese-style publishing modernization is a dialectical unity of the modernization of subjectselements and their relationships at all levels of the publishing administrative system and the publishing industry system. It resonates in frequency and mutually shapes and constructs with the process of Chinese-style modernization led by the Communist Party of China since the founding of the Peoples Republic of China. During the preparatory phase19491978),it served national industrialization and the Four Modernizations”;during the reform and exploration period19791992),it supported the coordinated development of material civilization and spiritual civilization amid the economic transition19932002),it adapted to the goals and requirements of the socialist market economic system in the deepening-reform era20032012),it led the overall advancement of cultural modernization and throughout the current connotative-development stage2013—),it responded to the national strategy of building a cultural power. It presents the basic characteristics as follows at the macro levelthe publishing administrative system transformed from a traditional management-oriented model to a modern governance-oriented model at the meso levelthe publishing industry system transformed from a traditional public institution-oriented model to a modern market-oriented model at the micro level,publishing workers transformed from “unit personnel” to “social personnel”.
