Abstract:
In order to explore media Apps’ system preferences during its development and the main reason for that,take 348 media Apps as the research samples,firstly do the clustering analysis for four media (magazine,radio,newspaper,TV) Apps respectively,and then compare and analyze the overall sample by clustering. Then based on the Life-cycle Theory,summarize the system preferences and the development models of media Apps at different developing stages. Conclude that the visual experience is an important cause behind media preference for iOS,and the size of audience is a key factor of media preference for Android; the media function orientation drives the selection of Apps platform either. In addition,more than half of media Apps are in the growth stage,whether they adopt the single or dual platform models.
