Abstract:
Based on content encoding of 3004 judicial judgments, this empirical study includes judicial judgments of foreign一related Internet copyright infringement. The study raises a question that, in the environment of lawsuits of Internet copyright infringement increasing rapidly, why the amount of foreign-related lawsuits declines? Research statistics show that although winning rate of foreign-related lawsuits is relatively higher, they cost more time and money of the accusers. In this situation, the gap between actual benefits and expected benefits is huge. This low amount of compensation turns out to be an important reason of foreign firms' "bored litigation”.
