Abstract:

The Commercial Press planned to publish Congshu Jicheng（A Collection of 100 Best Series
of Chinese Studies） in 1935， but this plan was interrupted by wars later on. Therefore， its original plans
for advance subscription became unclear to people; also， few have mentioned its advance subscription
in English. The Catalog of Congshu Jicheng conserved by Princeton University Library includes English
introduction of the book series， and three foreign correspondents of this publisher. This information may help
to understand the oversea advocating of the book and the foreign market of the Commercial Press
