Abstract:
Taking the twenty-five transnational publishing enterprises of the top fifty global publishers in 2013 as the examples, this paper analyzes the features of locations of their overseas branches and the factors which influences the locational choices. The overseas branches of the transnational publishing enterprises are spreading around the world, but their distribution in areas and countries is out of balance and shows the feature of agglomeration in cities. From the point of regional market and host countries, the factors which influence the locational choices including market capacity,industrial agglomeration,talents of publishing, geographical relations and polices. From the point of transnational publishing enterprises themselves, the factors are composed of the scale of enterprise, the degree of internationalization, the internationalization strategy and the location selection stage of enterprise.
