Abstract:

In this paper, standards and norms relevanted to semantic publishing, situation of linked dataset
of publications, semantic publishing process and its technical requirements are discussed comprehensively,
also including semantic publishing application scenario at present. All of these illustrates the advantages
of semantic publications comparing with traditional ones. It also points out the problems and challenges in
semantic publishing field, such as low usage of publication dataset, lack of mature semantic publishing process
and platform, and low degree of automation, and user experience is yet to be promoted, and so on. Therefore,
we need to solve specific problems in the areas of semantic web and publishing respectively to promote the
development of semantic publishing better.
