Abstract: [Abstract]　In the age of media convergence development, to improve the quality of academic journals and their development capability, paying attention to the improvement of editors’ professional quality is a must, and editors should possess richer and stronger professional sensitivity. This paper begins from exploration of the definition of academic journal editors’ professional sensitivity, it then analyzes its characteristics and influencing factors, and finally it put forward three significant approaches for the cultivation of professional sensitivity by academic journal editors: strengthening the study of laws and regulations relevant to periodical publication, strengthening the editors’ professional study and practice, and carrying out evaluation of editorial work.
