Abstract:

As a cultural city with a long history, Tianjin occupies a certain position in the history of publishing culture. In Kangxi, Yong Zheng, Qian Long period of Qing Dynasty, Tianjin publishing showed a thriving trend. Since the modern times, Tianjin publishing especially the newspaper has made considerable development, its importance is more and more prominent. Tianjin Publication Chronicles, Tianjin Journalism Historical Research, Nankai Publication Archives, as the representative of a number of historical compilation, collation of the results, shows the publishing history and achievements of  Tianjin area.
