Abstract:

Editing newspapers and periodicals, initiated from working as the chief editor of Xiangjiang Review, was an important part of Mao Zedong’s revolutionary practice in his youth. Inspired by the May 4th Movement,with“propagating the latest ideological trend”as its aim,Xiangjiang Review was regarded as one of the most eminent revolutionary newspapers at that time. The periodical exerted a far-reaching influence with its progressive ideas. Mao Zedong’s editorial work of Xiangjiang Review indicated that Mao Zedong Thought is developed and improved through practice.
