Abstract:

Shanxi Province is the birthplace of Chinese culture, was once the capital of more than a dozen Chinese feudal dynasty and the political, economic and cultural center of China in the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang Dynasty. It was also the birthplace of the ancient Chinese publication. Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region was once the center of Chinese people’s liberation movement in modern times, especially the holy revolutionary place Yan’an was called the base of Communist Party of China’s press and publication. Shanxi publishing has a long history and rich content, whether in the history of ancient Chinese publication, or in the history of modern publication, especially in the history of revolution publication, had occupied an extremely important position. Shanxi Publication Archives as the representative of a number of historical compilation, collation of the results, shows the publishing history and achievements of Shanxi area, provides important resources for large chronicles’compilation and publishing practice nowadays.
