Abstract:

The article analyses the serious impacts on the book industry in Europe and the United States, which
has come from the financial crisis. But the financial crisis also brings the development opportunity to Chinese book
industry. From the economical and cultural points of view, the article discusses that going into the mainstream culture
market of Europe and the United States is the most important and the most difficult aim for Chinese publishing industry
to “ going abroad”. So the authors suggest that we should pay much attention to the cultural communication between
China and western countries, explore the common cultural foundation of reading demand, and then on this basis do
copyright exportation effectively.
