Abstract: The quotations in the articles should meet the requirements prescribed by the copyright law. The editors of the academic periodicals carry out a careful study and analysis on the quotations after a complete understanding of the related regulations of copyrights, which can effectively prevent and restrict plagiarism and assess the article according to the accuracy, legitimacy and validity of the quotations. The editors ought to guide the authors to valuate the quotations, pay attention to its logicality, deal with“ quoting from a second source” appropriately and avoid“ quoting out of context”.
