Abstract:

Taking the development experience of China Population，Resources and Environment as an example， the paper analyzes and summarizes its development status and running features， and discusses the direction and measures of comprehensive academic journals， mainly including: to  highlight the journal characteristics through relating to important practical problems; to improve the journal core-competitiveness through attracting high quality papers， by projecting the journal advantages， choosing a topic， playing the role of editorial board member， and making preferential policies; to improve the journal quality through changing the traditional publishing model， relying on the information network technology; to promote the journal international influence through striking roots in China and facing the world.
