Abstract:
Letters are not Chinese characters, so lettered-words cannot be regarded as the representative members of Chinese vocabulary essentially. When lettered-words are compiled into Chinese dictionaries, owing to lettered-words’ distinctiveness compilers should normalize their phonetic notation, sorting, explanation and the others, so as to ensure the sound development of lettered-words and even Chinese with the aid of norms adopted by Chinese dictionaries.
