Abstract:

Since its establishment in 1897, Commercial Press have published a large number of translated works of geography. Based on the bibliography statistics of the translated works of geography， we investigated the frequency of reissues, the inclusion of series, the citation rate and book review of journal articles. It is firmly convinced that the excellent
translated works usually have high rate of reissues, inclusion of series, journal citation and book review. Finally, we
did a case study of the high-impact translated works of geography, and summarized the characteristics of high-impact
translated works.
